Wine Seminars
Travel around the world and visit the greatest wine-producing regions without leaving Newport by attending any of the multi-level seminars offered over the weekend. Led by industry experts, the sessions are designed for both the curious new wine drinkers and the most seasoned connoisseur.
Speakers include Leslie Sbrocco, renowned print and television wine expert , winner of the prestigious James Beard award and three Emmy awards, and Ray Isle, Wine Editor of FOOD & WINE, wine importer John Junguenet, and Italian food expert Lou Di Palo.
All seminars are 60+ minutes in length, and take place at The Hotel Viking in Newport. Seminar tickets are $20 each, and advance purchase is required.

2 p.m. / Taste Wine Like a Pro: Learn the Secrets Behind How to Taste Wine Through a Blind Tasting with Leslie Sbrocco
Ever wonder how the pros taste wine? Join wine author, international tasting judge and TV host Leslie Sbrocco, as she leads an informative, entertaining and interactive sensory session. Leslie is a regular guest on the TODAY show, lead judge on PBS television's "The Winemakers" and founder of the new multimedia company Thirsty Girl. Discover the tools the pros use to evaluate wine and recognize key structural components, and identify wine top varietals. Leslie will be your "wine Sherpa" with the aim of sharpening your tasting skills and heightening your wine enjoyment. Ten high-end wines from around the world will be tasted in a blind setting (in which the identified of the wines are not revealed until the end).
